Why I Chose Animas
Myself with a 16mm camera.
When I was a student in Middle School, the traditional curriculum never worked with me. School seemed uninteresting, and irrelevant. Flipping through countless textbooks didn't seem to be the natural way to learn. By the time I was in 8th grade and ready for high school, I heard about Animas High School. I made up my mind to go to AHS when I heard about its hands on curriculum and active roll in the community. I found that my educational experience at this school has been far more engaging and relevant than my previous yeas in school.
Animas allows the me the freedom to connect class content to personal interest. Most of the projects are left open ended for students to make more relevant to themselves. I incorporate my passion for film in many of my projects so that I can be one step closer to the professional filmmaking.
